Mid-Winter Music & Dance Experience
with Mark Morris Dance Group
Monday, February 16th - Friday February 20th, 2026
Fill your mid-winter break with dance and music! BMS and MMDG have partnered again this year to offer an amazing Music and Dance Camp for children ages 5 to 12 during the New York public school mid-winter break in 2026!
In the morning at MMDG, campers will have the opportunity to learn about choreography and different dance styles. Throughout the week, they will apply these concepts to create their own dances! In the afternoon at BMS, students will explore music concepts through daily drumming, musicianship, choir, and musical theater classes. This Mid-Winter session will be inspired by Mark Morris’s critically acclaimed “MOON.”
Location(s):
The Music and Dance Experience will take place in a multi-campus format, with the beginning of the day taking place at MMDG (3 Lafayette Avenue) and the afternoon taking place at the Brooklyn Music School. (126 St. Felix Street). The week will culminate in an informal performance for Family and Friends at the Brooklyn Music School Theater.
Tiered Tuition:
Tier 3 (Full Price) - $725
Tier 2 ($75 Subsidy) - $650
Tier 1 ($150 subsidy) - $575
Extended Day - $250
Times:
Early drop-off: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Standard day: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Extended day: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Spring Break Music & Dance Experience
with Mark Morris Dance Group
Monday, April 6th - Friday April 10th, 2026
Calling all Newsies! Are you looking to fill your spring break with dance and music!? Brooklyn Music School and Mark Morris Dance Group have partnered to offer an exciting Music and Dance Camp for children ages 5–12 during the 2026 NYC public schools Spring Break.
In the mornings, students will begin their day at Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue), where they’ll explore dances from Newsies Jr. and create their own original choreography inspired by the show’s storytelling, characters, and movement style.
Families also have the option to enroll in an extended-day Props Class, where students will design and create props that connect to themes from Newsies Jr.
The week will culminate in an informal performance for family and friends at the Brooklyn Music School Theater, showcasing the students’ creativity and hard work.
