Brooklyn Music School offers a variety of group classes and ensembles for adults interested in learning something new, returning to an instrument, or looking for more serious instruction! Our adult ensembles provide many performance opportunities from casual “open mic” vibes to more formal performances in the BMS Playhouse.
Adult Ensembles accept new members on a rolling basis. If you are interested in joining an ensemble or have any questions, please email smostin@brooklynmusicschool.org.
*NEW* Summer Adult Ensemble Intensive
July 20th - 26th, 2026
Open to students of all levels and experience, this week-long Intensive will consist of evening rehearsals Monday - Thursday (6:30 - 8:30pm), a recording session at Short Stack on Saturday afternoon, and an evening performance at Sisters on Sunday evening.
Register for the class then fill outTHIS FORM letting us know your instrument, level, and ensemble preference and we will place you in an ensemble to prepare music for an intense week of music making, community building, and new friendships!
We offer multiple levels of group piano classes, as well as theory and music appreciation.

BMS offers a wide variety of Adult Ensembles including jazz band, rock band, funk fusion, vocal jazz ensemble, chamber ensemble, and more!
Fall 2026 ensemble enrollment will begin August 3rd.
