Brooklyn’s most creative After School Program, Arts Reaching Youth (ARY) provides an assortment of music, theater, and dance classes for students ages 5 - 11 years old. The goal of ARY is to introduce children to the arts while building fundamental skills such as rhythm, ear training, body awareness, fine motor skills, and music theory.

We encourage students to try a variety of different classes - almost like a tasting menu! When your child finds the instrument or discipline they are most excited about, they have the opportunity to continue more focused studies at a higher level.

With school pick-up options and financial aid availability, our program remains a top option for our community.

Class Options

To accommodate different schedules and interests, we a variety of class and pick up options

Early Periods (3:45–4:30 PM)
Single Periods (4:40–5:25 PM)
Performance Tracks (4:40 - 6:15)- a two-class format that allows students to build strong fundamental skills while exploring multiple art forms in a cohort. Each performance track consists of two back-to-back 45 minute arts classes and culminates with a performance in the BMS Playhouse!
Walking/Bus pickup at partner schools that includes a snack, homework help, and homeroom before classes begin.
