Sophia Smyth

Sophia Smyth serves as the BMS Development and Marketing associate, after having been an intern at BMS during her last year of undergrad at Hunter College. After graduating in 2025 with a BA in Sociology, she transitioned into an associate position, where she works with the Director of Development and Marketing to expand the school's visibility and fundraising efforts. Sophia also runs our summer internship program and is happy to be a resource for young students looking to form real-world skills that are applicable to the contemporary labor force and hiring economy. Having been fortunate enough to be in school orchestras growing up, she finds the power of music education crucial to a well-rounded, collaborative learning experience.

Sophia is currently pursuing an MS in Applied Digital Sociology, honing in on data analysis skills, as well as continuing to learn how to employ qualitative and quantitative research methods to present well-rounded findings and results.
