Simon Nam

Simon Nam is a vocalist and educator who advocates for healthy and artistic singing. With more than a decade of experience teaching voice, he has worked at universities, performing arts high schools, music schools and multiple prep-programs. As a performer, his professional engagements include with the Greensboro Opera, Museum Contemporary Art in Denmark, NewJersey Opera Festival, Arezzo Opera Festival and more.

His pedagogical approach is grounded in awareness and collaboration. By fostering an environment built on these two principles, he aims to equip students with the tools, curiosity, and passion for lifelong vocal and artistic success. He is also equally committed to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment that meets the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Outside of teaching, he enjoys cooking, playing pickleball and going for walks.

Simon has a B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory, an M.M. from Mannes School of Music and a D.M.A. from UNCG.
