Meg Mechelke is a curiosity-driven artist and proud Midwesterner with a passion for weird art and community-centered practice. In addition to their previous work as a theatre teaching artist and arts education manager, Meg has deep roots in contemporary theatre and new play development, including directing, dramaturgy, devising, and playwriting credits across various regional, educational, and independent theatre companies. When they aren’t working in live performance, Meg has also been known to moonlight as a film critic and horror media scholar. Upcoming work can be found in publications including The Nottingham Horror Collective and 1428 Publishing.

Meg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and English/Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. In their free time, they enjoy gardening, unsettling movies, board games, being a mediocre guitarist, and sitting in the sun.
