Mari Rubio is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator based in Brooklyn. She is a professional instructor and performer with violin, guitar, viola, pedal steel, ukulele, bass, mandolin, banjo, piano, and more. For the last ten years, she’s released a multitude of records under the stage name more eaze which have been released by notable labels such as Thrill Jockey, Leaving Records, Mondoj, and Orange Milk. As a multi-instrumentalist performer and producer, she’s worked with artists such as Lomelda, Tomberlin, claire rousay, and Martha Skye Murphy. Mari tailors her teaching style according to each student’s interests and backs these lessons up with fun and challenging exercises in theory and technique that facilitate both technical mastery and personal engagement, enjoyment, and fulfillment. She’s a firm believer that every student has the ability to fall in love with music given the right tools.  She has worked as a music instructor since 2010 and currently teaches at the New School in addition to her work with private students of all ages at Brooklyn Music School. She’s also held teaching positions at the Magik Children’s Theater, CalArts, and Lonestar School of Music.
