NEW: Discounted Trial Lessons for

Local Public Schools

This Fall, Brooklyn Music School is so excited to announce that Trial Private Lessons are now just $10 for students from local public schools. We are always proud to welcome burgeoning young musicians and talented students into our building and can’t wait to see some new faces head down to 126 St. Felix Street!

BMS provides students of all ages and levels of experience the chance to work in a highly tailored, one-on-one environment. Lessons are available for piano, guitar, drums, strings, voice, wind instruments and more, from dedicated instructors across a range of musical traditions.

Private Lessons Offered

Registration Process 

  1. Please fill out NEW FORM NEEDED OR INBED??? indicating the instrument you’re interested in, as well as your availability. We will reach out and set you up with a trial lesson.

Fall Private Lesson Information

Prices:

30 minute -  per lesson: $82, annual: $2870

45 minute - per lesson: $108, annual: $3780

60 minute - per lesson: $124, annual: $4340

Term Length: 35 weeks

Duration Options: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes

Enrolling in Private Lessons includes the following services: 

  • Bi-annual progress reports

  • Performance opportunities

  • Ensemble discounts

    • Students ages 17 and under receive a 100% discount on ensembles when enrolled in a private lesson. Youth ensembles include: string orchestra, youth orchestra, jazz bands, rock bands, choir, woodwind quintet, and more!

    • Private lesson students ages 18+ receive a 50% discount on 60 minute ensembles and a 33% discount on 90 minute ensembles.

Trial Lessons

Students who want to be sure that private lessons are the right fit have the option to enroll and pay for a trial lesson before committing to a full term. Payment is required to complete trial lesson registration, and once the trial is booked, it can be refunded or rebooked with 24 hours’ notice. Same-day cancellations or missed trial lessons are non-refundable.
