Brooklyn Music School’s 2022 new heartbeats gala
Celebrate with Brooklyn Music School!

Please join us on Wednesday, May 18th at our 2022 New heartBEATS Annual Fundraising Gala.
We are thrilled to announce that this year, our gala will be held on the rooftop terrace of Brooklyn Children's Museum.
Celebrate with us as we enjoy amazing live music, dance, and live painting performances. Participate in our live and virtual auctions. Take one night to drink in the energy, talent, and excitement that continues to inspire Brooklyn Music School and its phenomenal students--from toddlers to seniors and everyone in between.

Performers
The gala will include performances by artists, professional and student alike, including; Melvin Gibbs, Dr. Michelle Lie (TESLA STRING QUARTET), Gloria Lee, as well as Audrey Borst (BROOKLYN BALLET). New York City painter, Lauren Kelisha Muller, will create a live painting that will be available for auction at the end of the event.
This year’s honorees:
Honoring critically acclaimed Brooklyn-native, avid touring artist and songwriter Maya Azucena.
Honoring and featuring performances by born & raised Brooklyn composer, musician, artist, and writer, Melvin Gibbs. He’s been called "the greatest bassist in the world" by Time Out New York magazine.
Honoring producer/manager Damon DeGraff. Since starting his own New York based company in 2001, dGi Management has become one of the world’s most renowned management & production agencies representing some of the industry’s premier artist, DJs and record producers.
Honoring drummer John Stanier who is best known for his work with alternative metal band Helmet.
