Daniel Hass

Daniel Hass is a versatile cellist, composer, and educator on a continual mission to expand the expressiveness of his instrument. A Kovner Fellow graduate of The Juilliard School (BM, MM), Daniel made his concerto debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at age 15 and has since performed with orchestras across the U.S. and Canada.

A passionate chamber musician, he is a founding member of the Renaissance String Quartet, currently serving as Quartet-in-Residence at Caramoor. Daniel is equally at home outside the classical canon, touring and recording with modern jazz ensembles (including Orlando Furioso and the Tal Yahalom Quintet) and indie rock acts. As a prolific composer, he recently released his debut album, Love &

Levity, and his original works and arrangements have reached massive audiences, from the Crypto.com Arena to schools across Jamaica. He performs on a historic 1730 Joannes Franciscus Celoniatus cello.
