The Healing Arts New York Network of the Jameel Arts & Health Lab is proud to announce the next stop of the 2026 Healing Arts Boro Tour at the historic Brooklyn Music School on April 13, 2026.
Hosted at one of the longest-running performing arts organizations in Brooklyn, together we will gather artists, administrators, clinicians, and public health workers to highlight Brooklyn-based opportunities and programs.
A conversation, "The Healing Power of the Arts" will feature a discussion aimed at examining the healing properties that music and community building can create in society, moderated by Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Deborah Douek, featuring Artist and Creative Consultant, Stephen Sheffer. There will be time for refreshments, networking, and an experiential offering featuring Katie Down, LCAT, MT-BC and Jane Rigler, Ph.D., Co-directors of the Arts & Wellbeing Gathering: a consortium of professional artists and healing arts practitioners. Each will offer an experience focused on the theme of “Whole Listening for Wellbeing.”
