“CONTRASTS - European & South American Sounds”
CHIARA D’ODORICO
Internationally acclaimed pianist Chiara D’Odorico invites you to embark on a captivating musical
journey in her recital “CONTRASTS – European & South American Sounds.”
This program explores a fascinating dialogue between contrasting yet deeply interconnected musical
worlds, featuring works by European and South American composers — with a special focus on
Paraguayan music — spanning from the 18th to the 21st century. Several of these pieces will receive
their United States premieres during this concert.
The repertoire highlights the dynamic interplay between solo piano and four-hand works, revealing
expressive contrasts and unexpected harmonies that transcend time and geography.
More than a celebration of classical music’s diversity, this recital offers a rare opportunity to discover
hidden gems of Paraguayan repertoire in conversation with European masterpieces.
For the four-hand pieces, Argentine pianist David Lonardi will join as Guest Artist.
