Julie Lozano

Director of Development

Julie Lozano is a classically trained vocalist and administrative professional with over 14 years of executive management experience, cross-functional team leadership, and grant writing. Her business acumen includes project management and development with respect to granting work with awards over 75k and teaching and classroom management for students ages 12-18. She is the youngest of three born to two professional career musicians which afford her a unique perspective in working with performing arts organizations and similarly configured non-profits. As a performer, Julie received a scholarship to join the Houston Children’s Chorus where she performed alongside artists such as Celine Dion, Peabo Bryson, Roberta Flack, and Susan Graham and provides vocals for a number of musical projects in the New York Metropolitan area.

She is a graduate of the University of Houston completing her degree in English Language, Literature, and Composition specializing in teaching departmental curriculum to Spanish-speaking ESL students, she also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Urban Studies and Food Studies from the New School in New York City and is in the final year of her master's program to complete a Masters of Science in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Systems Management with focus on resource policy and equity.
