Come join us for our very first In-Person Sound Bath Meditation! The event will include essential oils, tea, and cool water.
About this event
Sound Baths offer the opportunity to unplug, unwind, and deeply relax. With the sounds of Alchemy crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, hand pans, and other resonant instruments, participants enjoy deep states of relaxation and release. This months' sound bath will be facilitated by Katie Down, (LCAT, MT-BC) a licensed creative arts therapist and music psychotherapist and former chair of BMS' music therapy dept. Katie has been offering sound bath meditations for over 15 years in the NYC area and Hudson Valley and is currently an associate professor at SUNY, New Paltz's music therapy dept. Sound Bath Meditations are sonic meditations incorporating all the senses, based on the premise that we listen with our etheric, emotional and mental body and that through Deep Listening, we can self-heal, connecting with ourselves and each other while creating new neural pathways for optimal, sound health.
NOTE: A Negative PCR/Rapid Test or Vaccination Card is required to be shown before entry. To preserve the calm atmosphere and not disturb the sound bath as it is in progress - if you show up after 7:10 pm you may not be admitted.
BYOM - We have yoga mats and blankets available but feel free to bring your own. The space is air-conditioned.
Space is also limited.
