Kick off your weekends right this September: join Brooklyn Music School faculty for a series of live, outdoor, "happy hour" concerts/jam sessions on three Fridays this month.
First up is drummer Brian Woodruff, the Percussion Chair at BMS. Woodruff began drum lessons at age nine and counts Cuban son and mambo, New Orleans jazz and Haitian kompa as influences on his style. He has performed with Oscar Perez and Kuriko Tsugawa in the OKB Trio, and at venues such as the Kennedy Center. Come out for a lively late summer evening groove, and If you've got musical chops, be ready to jam along with Brian and get the BMS Jazz Series started!
