Through BMS Outreach, we bring the quality of Brooklyn Music School's faculty, programming, and pedagogy to you. BMS Outreach is dedicated to formulating just the right educational programming in music and dance to suit the needs of your organization and your students.
As a community institution, BMS is committed to engaging with schools – public, charter, and private – after-school programs, senior centers, and community centers in an effort to foster literacy and cooperation in the performing arts. BMS Outreach offers your organization an excellent way to round out your curriculum with the highest quality educational programming, at an affordable price, to provide a gateway to a life-long interest in music and the performing arts.

BMS Outreach programming serves over 5,000 children and even more parents and audiences. Our classes are taught by a faculty of 25 professional artist-educators. Our performance assemblies draw upon a network of first-class artists in New York City, presenting a range of Classical, Jazz, and World Music styles. All BMS Outreach faculty members hold professional degrees in the performing arts and/or education. All faculty members have been vetted with background checks in all 50 United States and are current in the New York Statewide Central Register Database.
BMS Outreach curriculum has been developed in accordance with New York Department of Education (DOE) music education standards – Blueprint for the Arts. Because of the nature of BMS Outreach, our curriculum often exceeds these standards by providing more robust curricular programming than is mandated by the DOE. We believe strongly that all students deserve access to the rich culture and understanding that music and dance education provide, regardless of their background, talents, or challenges.
BMS Outreach is wonderful for schools looking to enrich their current music programs and supplement their common core curriculum, as well as offers a cost-effective alternative for schools that lack a music department.

BMS Outreach creates custom programs with custom pricing for each of our partner schools and organizations that meet your needs, internal resources, and your budget. Classes start as low as $100 per instructional hour. For institutions with very limited resources, BMS Outreach has successfully been able to work with partners to secure grant funding to help cover the costs of our programming.
