Summer Vocal Arts Junior Artists Program

Oriented to children ages 6-15, this program will include approximately 9 hours of classes in singing and dance, integrated with rehearsal that will introduce child performers to performance-oriented vocal arts and theater. Children will learn how to sing and dance as an ensemble, will be featured in solo pieces and acquire the presence and movement skills required to participate in a performance for parents and the community at the end of the session.

For 2017, SVA Junior Artists Program plans to present a fully produced show, our SVA Children's showcase on August 5th at 2:00 p.m. 

For 2017, SVA Junior Artists Program plans to present a fully produced show, our SVA Children's showcase on august 5th at 4 p.m. 

SVA Junior program 2017 will culminate in a fully staged musical showcase for kids in the Brooklyn Music School playhouse! The fully produced show will feature original music, lyrics, choreography and staging by the world-class SVA faculty. Based on the theme of "Echo and Narcissus, our production is set in the enchanted forest and will feature exciting characters and dramatic scenes on the theme of vanity and power of love and compassion.

This program runs from July 5th to August 5th and costs $475 and scholarships are available on a selected basis.

*Additionally, selected Junior artists will have an exciting opportunity to participate in BMS's Adult Summer Vocal Arts Performance Echo et Narcisse
