Originally from Hawaii, flutist Patricia Cardona holds a B.M. in flute performance from the University of Oregon where she was twice awarded the University Award for Arts and Advocacy. Patricia holds a MM in Flute Performance from New York University where she was an adjunct instructor and was awarded the Graduate Award for Excellence and Achievement. She then received her Graduate Certificate studying at IRCAM and l’Ecole Normale through NYU Paris. Patricia was a member of the NYU Symphony, NYU Contemporary Ensemble, the NYU New Music Ensemble, and is currently freelancing and teaching in the New York City metro area with organizations such as One World Symphony, Orchestra Amadeus, the Manhattan Chamber Players, the Latin American Chamber Players, and Brooklyn Music School.
