Naum Goldenstein

Naum Goldenstein is a third generation clarinet player whose unique, colorful sound has been widely praised. He has been playing solo concerts since the age of fifteen.  He graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where he studied with Yevgeny Yehudin (Principal clarinet, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra) and from Queens College where he studied with Professor Charles Neidich. 

Goldenstein has over 10 years teaching experience, teaching both private and group instruction, at different schools around NYC including Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Music school and at ETM. . He leads a band a Humanities and Arts High School and has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles including the Mozart Divertimento Trio, the Symphony Orchestra of Raanana, and the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Recently, he collaborated with New York Harmonic Band where he played at Carnegie Hall and recorded “The Islands of Tulipatan”. He collaborated with Throes Theater on critically acclaimed “Halfway through the Story of Our Life,” performed at Access Theater and Dixon Place, where his playing was praised for its “beautiful tone and sensitive pacing” by New York Arts.
