Missy has had over 23 years’ experience working with children and families in New York City.  She is currently the music therapist at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital where she works with the acute inpatient pediatric population.  She received her Masters of Art in Music Therapy from New York University and has advanced training in Vibrational Medicine/Sound Therapy.  Missy is also a Certified Educator of Infant Massage and she holds an advanced/professional certificate from Stella Adler Conservatory in Classical Acting.  Missy specializes in attachment theory and employs a multi-modal approach to her practice.  Her work is centered around Viola Spolin’s improvisational tenant of “Yes, And!”; acknowledging a client’s state of being in the moment while focusing upon expanding and enhancing their authentic self in the music and beyond. Missy runs the First Friday Sound Bath Series at Brooklyn Music School each month.
