This course is also based on the development of hip hop culture from the 1970s to the present but more in depth. It will continue to explore party dance moves and includes more street dance forms such as popping and locking, waacking, voguing and krumping. This course will review the basics in Hip Hop I as well as incorporate more difficult movement from each dance form. This class will be at a faster pace, therefore more stamina will be required. Class will begin with a set warm up based on the dance form that is being focused on. It will include stretching and other exercises that will condition them to go across the floor. Students will then learn a combination and depending on the progression of the class, they will be allowed to create in groups. Toward the end of the semester class will be devoted to practicing for the show.
