Brandon Gianetto enjoys a varied career as an orchestral musician, chamber musician, and teacher. An avid performer, Mr. Gianetto frequently performs with Syracuse Symphoria, the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, the Binghamton Philharmonic, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, and The Symphony of Westchester, and has toured with orchestras throughout Italy and China. For the last three summers, Mr. Gianetto has been employed as an Orchestral Fellow with the Eastern Music Festival. An active chamber musician, Mr. Gianetto has collaborated with members of the Manhattan String Quartet, the Miami String Quartet, and members of the Philadelphia and Metropolitan Opera Orchestras. Mr. Gianetto is also passionate about the commission of New Works, and has participated in premiers by Andre Previn, Julia Adolphe, Huang Rao, Lowell Lieberman, and numerous others.
When not performing, Mr. Gianetto has worked as a violin and piano teaching artist through the Noel Pointer Foundation, Bach To Rock, and the Brooklyn Music School. His teaching philosophy is one of nurturing, patience, and receptiveness to the way each individual student learns.
Mr. Gianetto is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory (B.M.), SUNY Purchase (M.M.), and Manhattan School of Music (Professional Studies Certificate).
