Andrew Brubaker

Early Childhood Music, Piano and Voice

Andrew Brubaker is a PK-12 certified music teacher who currently teaches PK-5 chorus, core music and keyboards at the Midtown West School. Andrew received his Bachelor's of Music in vocal performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from NYU and a Master's of Arts in Music Education from Hunter College. He is currently pursuing certification in the Orff Approach to music education (Level 2) and the Kodaly method (Level 2). Alongside an active teaching career, Andrew sings and plays the piano in venues across New York City. He has music directed productions for the New York Musical Theatre Festival, New York University, Jersey Productions and more. Andrew is a passionate educator who focuses on students understanding the nuts and bolts of music and how music can affect behavior, social interactions, emotional intelligence, and more. Andrew is grateful to be a part of the Brooklyn Music School family.
