Support
The Brooklyn Music School is able to provide our programs thanks in part to the generous contributions from our community, foundations and corporations .
Approximately 20% of our current operating budget comes from donations and fundraising. This is money used for the day-to-day operations of the school including teachers' salaries, Instrument – upgrades and maintenance – costumes – supplies, and equipment. Many students who want to study music can not afford it. More than 30% of BMS 's students need help in order to study here, totaling over $150,000. Your gift to Financial Aid goes directly to help one of over 200 students who could not study music here without that help.
The Brooklyn Music School is a nonprofit community music school and, like most community arts organizations survives only through the generous support of hundreds of individuals whose donations make the school's many programs possible. If you wish, you may designate how your donation is used.Listed below are three ways you can designate your gift.
- Tuition Financial Aid - provides assistance to families who can not afford a full year enrollment for their child.
- Merit Awards. - Provides stipends to students who demonstrate exceptional Academics improvements in school or in their - dance - music classes. (Stipends are offered to offset class tuitions).
- Full Year Tuition -Sponsorship of a child's school year in Dance or Music.
Your contribution to the Brooklyn Music School is tax deductible, within the limits of the law. Please choose how you would like to make your donation:
