Cultural Dance Division

The Cultural Dance Division is designed to foster  an appreciation and understanding of cultural and contemporary dances from Latin America countries, including the Caribbean and the African Diaspora.  The goal is to  promote  and encourage cultural awareness among the downtown Brooklyn Cultural District. The classes offered will reflect the diversity of the community along with a respect and importance of cultural heritage among our neighbors.

Classes

African 7-19 years

Explores the basic steps and patterns of African dance traditions through large energetic movements and patterns.

Salsa 7-19 years

Salsa is characterized for its quick turns, style and up-beat tempo and rhythm. Students will experience the richness and energy from this unique style of dance.
