Arts Reaching Youth: Enrichment Programming
The Brooklyn Music School is dedicated to bringing dance and music instruction to young people in Brooklyn’s public schools, after schools and community centers. Our services span throughout the borough of Brooklyn including neighborhoods like Fort Greene, Red Hook, East New York, and Brownsville. These off-site programs allow us to serve children and youths at-risk in communities where such enrichment opportunities are simply unaffordable and therefore are scarce at best. All students receive quality instruction from the faculty of twenty five professional artist-educators. We serve over 2,000 children annually in our programs and activities
We believe strongly that all students deserve access to the rich culture and understanding that music and dance education provide, regardless of their background, talents, or disabilities.
We design all music and dance programming accordingly to the needs of the organizations . Enrichment activities can be designed for a 10 months stand alone afterschool program, semesters or quarterly throughout the school year. The classes and lessons can be offered in 45 - 60 - 90 minutes sessions . Groups sizes are small as 15 to 30.
