Tatiana Viscun

tatianaA native of Russia, Tatiana Viscun received her Bachelor of Music degree from Krivoy Rog State Music College (Ukraine) and Master of Music degree from Chisinau State University of the Arts (Moldova), both in Piano Performance and Pedagogy (with Distinction).

As an experienced educator and piano instructor, she has raised many generations of gifted young musicians. Her students have been the winners of many piano competitions: Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, NYSMTA District 2 Winners’ Piano Recital, American Fine Arts Festival, and others. Some of the students study in prestigious music programs and schools such as the Julliard School, Manhattan School of Music, The Boston Conservatory, and the Special Music School at the Kaufman Center.

Boasting 30 years of professional experience in piano pedagogy, Mrs. Viscun also adds to her record performances at Steinway Hall, New York’s Goethe-Institute, the Davidzon Radio Theatre, and other venues throughout the New York area.

Tatiana Viscun is the founder, artistic co-director, and piano performer of the Kurbatskaya-Viscun Duo performing classical vocal and piano music.

Mrs. Viscun is the Nassau-Suffolk District 3 Chair and Brooklyn-Queens-Staten Island District 2 Co-Chair (NYSMTA). She is a member of the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) and the New York State Music Teachers Association (NYSMTA). Also, Tatiana Viscun is a member of the Leschetizky Association and the Rachmaninoff Society.
